Ho Chi Minh City ,Vietnam - Day 1 - 03/03/2010

So I reached Ho Chi Minh City,Vietnam in the late afternoon. HCM was kind of, well-developed and a bit of run down, as well as in its developing state too. Made a small stop for exchange of currency. Reached the guesthouse around evening and we went off to a small district(outside HCM) to have dinner and bought groceries at one of the local popular supermarket chain: Co-op mart. The supermarket wasn't what I expected from any ordinary supermarket. I was tolerant enough with the fresh food section;the pungent and unpleasant odor was a bit nauseating. The large selection of never heard/seen before tidbits did somewhat excite me.

KFC there was much better than in Singapore (in terms of portions) and with some addition to the menu.It wasn't an interesting day though.

Yes, Motorcycles are such a common sight.

Traffic's quite congested. It's kind of normal.
