Ho Chi Minh City ,Vietnam - Day 2 - 04/03/2010

So We went out to HCM city in the afternoon(we did school work in the morning). We were brought to an unguided tour around the city. Two major locations we visited are the Saigon Notre-Dame Basilica and The Saigon Central Post Office.

Saigon Central Post Office
Saigon Notre-Dame Basilica

Both buildings had stunning architecture and interiors. The Notre-Dame is similar to the one in France. Step into the post office and you'll be greeted by a huge portraits of Ho Chi Minh himself hanging, facing the entrance.

There's nothing much to comment apart from building designs. We was greeted by beggars. As an ethical practice of travelers, I didn't donate any money( not that I'm heartless but we don't want beggars to be too dependent on foreign tourists.

The later part of the city tour was spend on shopping(which was quite mundane) and a welcome dinner. Dinner was superb and I got to know a few friends(again). Tasted alcohol(Saigon beer) I could not stand the bitter taste though.

9pm, me and a few others head out to a local KTV. Shan't elaborate but it was a joyful experience.
